Front of House Floor Manager

Restaurant Front of House Manager

SeaQuake is a family friendly brewery and restaurant located in the far northern corner of California. We believe that the best beer and food is yet to be made and we strive every day to do just that. 


We are currently looking for a front of house restaurant manager. In this role, you would assist with all FOH management operational and administrative needs. We are looking for an energetic, friendly, and self motivated person to join our team.  


Requirements:


  •  Minimum 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • At least one year of restaurant manager/supervisor experience is preferred
  • California Food Handling certificate
  • Approachable, friendly, and ability to positively direct employees
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Proficient written communication skills
  • Proficient in basic computer usage such as email, ordering and POS systems
  • Aptitude for organization and administrative task.


Responsibilities: 


  • Training staff to follow restaurant procedures and provide top notch customer service 
  • Maintaining safety and food quality standards
  • Keeping customers happy and handling complaints
  • Assisting with organizing schedules
  • Ordering supplies while staying within budget limitations
  • Supervising daily shift operations
  • Ensuring all end of day cash outs are correctly completed
  • Coordinating daily front of house operations
  • Controlling operational costs and identifying ways to cut waste
  • Appraising staff performance
  • Interviewing/recruiting new employees
  • Interacting with guests to get feedback on product quality and service levels
  • Fill out incident report for any injuries during shift
  • Help with inventory and ordering of products as well as bar drink creation & RCC’s
  • Ensure that restaurant cleanliness and safety standards are being followed at all times
  • Complete manager log of notes from shift
  • Document and report any and all situations that may require further attention
  • Do any voids, comps, or other POS based needs that arise during shift.
  • Receive training in management areas as well as DSP coaching program 
  • Assist with catering set up and running of events in brewhouse or upstairs
  • Assist with other duties and tasks as assigned by GM 


Physical Demands:


  • Ability to stand and work with hands and arms for at least eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week.
  •  Regular and consistent on-site attendance.
  • Stand and move throughout the restaurant.
  • Ability to go up and down stairs. 
  • Interpret and follow a variety of instructions and procedures furnished in English - written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Work under pressure with changing, ambiguous priorities.
  • Communicate effectively and promptly to coworkers.
  • High level of manual dexterity to safely utilize knives and kitchen/restaurant equipment.
  • Auditory and visual skills – Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to work overtime occasionally at the last minute.
  • Continuous physical activity including frequent walking, standing, twisting, sitting, bending, lifting, reaching, kneeling, stooping, crawling, wiping, climbing, and occasionally pushing and pulling items weighing 50 pounds for distances of up to 20 ft.;
  • Ability to perform moderately strenuous physical work and withstand temperatures needed to retrieve items from walk in cooler or retrieve from oven. 
  • Be able to adeptly use restaurant equipment;

    Pay: $25 an hour
