FRONT OF HOUSE TEAM- HOST, BUS, FOOD RUNNER - PART TIME
Job description- We are looking for very friendly, enthusiastic and hard working front of house team members. You will be trained for bussing, hosting, and expediting food. Potentially can lead to serving position if you meet the qualifications and training requirements after initial training with us.
Job Description:
- Greet customers as soon as they walk through the door
- Add customers to wait list or take to-go order
- Provide patrons with accurate wait time estimates during busy periods
- Maintain a neat, organized front-of-house environment
- Seat guests
- Assist with opening/closing tasks and side work as needed
- Memorizing the menu and recommend appetizers, meals and drinks from restaurant wine stock
- Taking orders from customers at tables or front door
- Answer phones and take food orders to cars and front waiting area
- Cleaning and stocking of the restaurant
- Collaborating with the kitchen and bar staff for prompt and correct delivery of orders
- Must be able to go up and down stairs without difficulty multiple times throughout shift.
- Delivering a memorable dining experience by resolving all customer issues promptly
- Assisting with the tidying of tables, clearing leftovers and keeping the dining area neat and pleasant
- Setting tables and rearranging the dining area to accommodate larger groups and prepare the restaurant for special events
- Ensuring cooking utensils and kitchen area are cleaned after closing to comply with state regulations
- All other duties assigned by management
Qualifications
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems
- High level of stamina to work to work on feet for extended periods
- Ability to work well under time pressure
- Dedication to on-time arrival for shifts
- Ability to go up and down stairs
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and carry trays, plates and small wares
- Available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
- Ability to safely transport food or beverages
- Polite and hospitable attitude
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16 per hour Plus Tips
